Delila A. Omasaki, 20, NY NY, died Friday night, May 18, 2001 at her home.
She was born in Japan on May 20, 1980, the daughter of the late Komo Omasaki and Jasmin Kalik.
She was a graduate of Hamilton High School and Long Island University. She excelled medical school at New York University for 3 years until her departure. She was a part time teacher's assistant in Hamilton High School from age 16 to 19. She worked as a lab mentor and technician at age 20 in Hunter College.
She was not married nor did she have any children. She had served her community by doing charity work for various socities including the March of Dimes, Aids Walk, MS society and Revlon Walk.
After being diagnosed for cancer on May 16, 2001, she quit her job to undergo treatments.
Family members include two younger siblings sisters Selina and Sakura Omasaki. Aunts, Suki Nashura and Ling Chau. Grandparents, Shilpi Begum Kalik and Yoshi Omasaki.
We will always remember you Delila for your kindness, love, sincerity and innocence.
Funeral will be held on June 3, Nagasaki, Japan (Yogyakarta 55581) at the Tamakari Funeral home (1 pm - 4 pm).
