Mr. Benjamin ‘Benny’ Gerald Lewis, age 50, of Douglasville, GA passed away on Friday, November 2, 2007. He was born November 8, 1956 in Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his father Benjamin J. Lewis and his brother Kenneth David Lewis. Benny loved sports, his family, and cherished deeply everyone he met.
He is survived by his wife Donna Lewis of Douglasville, GA; daughter Jordan Tatum Lewis of Douglasville, GA; son Joshua Duane McClure of Hartselle, AL; grandson Kolton Wade Keeter of Douglasville, GA; mother Connie M. Lewis of Carrollton, GA; brother Terry Lewis of Mableton, GA; sister Karen M. Dougherty of Carrollton, GA; nephew David Lewis of Dallas, GA; niece Melissa Monday of Bremen, GA; several great-nieces, great-nephews, and many friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 from 5-8 PM. The funeral service will be Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Rev. Derrick Keeter and Rev. Daniel Carnley officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
