Etta Martha Wilson Wolfersberger, known to many as "Mom", 72, of Harrisburg, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2003.
Born in Altoona on January 14, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Dallas and Lola Davis Wilson.
She was a 1948 graduate of Altoona High School and attended Thompson Institute, Harrisburg. Since 1978 she has been the proprietor and tax preparer for Wolfersberger Tax Service. She was a past manager of H & R Block Tax Office at the Harrisburg East Mall; a computer solderer for Olivetti; surgical technician at the former Polyclinic Hospital and a former Notary Public.
She enjoyed singing; camping and putting together jig saw puzzles.
Etta was a former volunteer for the Meals on Wheels and a former Girl Scout Leader; a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland; Life Member of Altoona High School Alumni Association, 1993 and 1994 Past President and current Treasurer of Chambers Hill Lions Club; 1986 and 1992 President of Central PA Square Dance Callers; and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Hershey Chapter Lodge #509, Chambers Hill Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Nittany Mountain Antique Automobile Association, and the National Association of Tax Professionals.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Galen V. Wolfersberger, Jr.; two daughters, Maria Joseph, wife of John M. Joseph, of Harrisburg and Elizabeth Mastropietro, companion of the late Bradford K. Nelson I, of Harrisburg; four grandsons, Richard V. Coy, husband of Jennifer Hall Coy of Hummelstown, Timothy C. Coy, husband of Jennifer Michael Coy, Adam J. Cruz, Bradford K. Nelson II, all of Harrisburg; two great-grandchildren, Bryanna R. Russell and Alekzander K. Coy, both of Harrisburg; a brother, Lamont Wilson of Dauphin and a sister, Marian Dorman of Harrisburg; seven nephews; seven nieces; five grand-nephews; and eight grand-nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four children.
