Washington Spent his early childhood in Blackstone, Virginia and later moved to Washington, D.C. and married his sweetheart, Rebecca Thompson.
Armed with friendly personality, a strong work ethic and a desire to make a good home for his family, Washington found employment with Winnie's chuckwagon. Later in 1972 he purchased a truck and established his own business, Thompson's Chuckwagon.
Mr.Thompson continued providing friendly, clean service to many in Washington, D.C. and surrounding areas. His consistency and determination provided the basis for a thriving business that he maintained until the time of his illness.
Washington was a loving and supportive family man, friend and colleague.
Washington leaves loving memories to his wife of 41 years, Rebecca; two daughter, Jean(Gilbert) Francis, Joyce(Thomas) Dagner,; two sons, Anthony(Barbara) Borwn, Tyrone(debra) Thompson. He also leaves five sisters and one brother Timothy Thonpson. Further blessed was Washington to enrich the lives of thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, a loving mother-in-law, Evelyn Fowlkes of Blackstone, Virginia, three sister-in-laws,two brother-in-law and a host of neices,nephews,other relatives and friends.
